Pinterest introduces user blocking and reporting features

Pinterest added on Wednesday several new options that should give users more control over their experience on the photo-sharing platform.
Is there a member that you have always wanted to block? Now, you can! Mouse over the small flag icon on the right-hand side of their profile information and click “Block”.
“Blocking prevents both of you from being able to follow each other’s boards as well as like, repin, and comment on each other’s pins,” explains software engineer Dannie Chu on the Pinterest Blog. “When you block someone, the other person is not automatically notified. However, a blocked person will know they’ve been blocked if he or she tries to follow you or interact with your pins.”
And if you believe that a user shares too much inappropriate content, such as nudity, pornography, graphic violence or spam, you can report their account by clicking the same flag icon. The account will then be reviewed by the Community team.
The new features will be available to all users of the web version of the social network by the end of the week, while mobile users will have to wait for the next mobile update to take advantage of them.
The Pinterest team also introduced new email settings. These settings allow members to decide what kind of notifications (comments, repins, likes, etc.) they want to receive in their inbox.
